Academics

Academic Snapshot

Durham Charter School welcomes all students who seek to learn in a safe, diverse, and structured environment. We provide a number of after school, weekend and summer resources for students who have struggled in district-run public schools with larger class sizes, students who need extra academic support for any reason, students who will benefit from a safe, nurturing school, and students who are classified as living in high poverty and, therefore, have few resources at home.

School Growth and Performance

Although our grade of D is not yet where we want it to be, we Exceeded Growth, and performed in the Top 10% of all schools in the state as determined by student growth. That means students at Durham Charter School grew more academically than 75% of all schools in the state. We’re proud of these exceptional results and have been recognized by the Department of Public Instruction for our success last year. We expect continued excellence in student growth this year.
